General Information

Guardian Tales is a Top Down Adventure RPG reminiscent of games like The Legend of Zelda or classic JRPG titles with a story that can be both light-hearted and very dark at times.

The game was originally released in SEA regions before it became available globally in 2020.

The japanese version for the game, published by Yostar, changed the artstyle for character portraits ingame to appeal more to japanese players. Global players got the option to switch between the original and the JP art shortly after the japanese release.

The Nintendo Switch version released in October 2022 is self-published by Kong Studios with its own servers. This version also contains the option to switch between artstyles with JP art set as default.
