General Information

22/7 is a Mixed Media Project as well as a japanese idol unit produced by Yasushi Akimoto (founder of groups like AKB48, STU48 or Nogizaka46) which debuted in June 2017.

The 8 original members consist of Takigawa Miu,
Saitou Nicole, Tachikawa Ayaka, Fujima Sakura, Maruyama Akane, Toda Jun, Satou Reika & Kouno Miyako.

The individual members became also active as VTubers for a limited period of time in 2018 with each one having her own channel to promote the groups upcoming activities.

The VTuber models are still utilized in their appearances in the "22/7 Keisanchu" and its successor "22/7 Kenzanchu" variety shows.

Toujou Yuuki, Hiiragi Tsubomi & Kamiki Mikami were announced to join the unit in September 2018.

An anime adaptation aired in 2020.

Hanakawa Mei left the group in December 2019 due to health issues with Kawase Uta replacing her role as Saitou Nicole.

Hokaze Chiharu left the group in February 2021 to pursue her voice acting career full-time.

Umino Ruri left the group in November 2021 for the same reason while Kuraoka Mizuha retired the same month in order to realign in her career path.

Takeda Aina announced her departure for December 2021 in order to pursue a career as model and TV personality.

Due to a series of unexplained absences, Takatsuji Urara was announced to leave the group in November 2021.

Following the various departures, their respective characters Satou Reika, Toda Jun, Kouno Miyako, Hiiragi Tsubomi & Toujou Yuuki were announced to graduate from the franchise.

8 new members were announced to join the unit in March 2022: Nishiura Sora (VA:Aikawa Nao), Kiryu Touko (VA:Asaoka Mao), Yagami Toa (VA:Oto Amaya), Nagamine Kaede (VA:Kiyoi Mina), Orihara Sumika (VA:Shiina Satsuki), Ichinose Hotaru (VA:Shijou Runa), Himuno Mizuki (VA:Tsukishiro Ema), and Sera Honoka (VA:Mochizuki Rino).
