From Karlsland, she is the twin sister of Erica Hartmann from the anime, as the light novel series and anime take place at different times. The youngest in the squadron at 10 years of age (in the light novels), all she does is read and tries to learn everything according to Karlsland doctrines. She eventually used her research in rocketry to design the Fliegerhammer prototype that Sanya V. Litvyak will use. Her familiar is Dachshund, which is the same as her sister's (Ursula's familiar was a Badger in the Misfits novels, but it was later canonically changed to a Dachshund).
