General Information:
Koukaku Kidoutai: The Ghost in the Shell is a 1989 manga by Masamune Shirow. Throughout the years it has been adapted into various anime series, movies, games, novels, spin-offs and a live-action movie.

Plot:

The general story of the manga is of Major Motoko Kusanagi's chase for a digital criminal, The Puppeteer (known as The Puppet Master in the film), whose genuine personality is obscure.
