    omg I have no idea why people ship this pairing... I see mikasa with eren only. She like ... you know, show no emotion for anyone but Eren and probably Armin. She is stoic to everyone except to her two bestfriend, idk I just... can't see her with anyone but Eren (or Armin)... orz

    @CCdesu: Its a dare-to-be-different pairing that will NEVER HAPPEN. Crack pairings don't make sense to many people. I enjoy this couple based on their similarities. Other than those similarities these two will NEVER work mainly because of age and Mikasa likes Eren. Your opinion is just as understandable as everyone else who commented here. I won't judge you or anything else. Mikasa is just an overly loving adopted sister/good friend to Eren and nothing more.

    To be honest Levi won't end up with anybody because he's like 30 and every other still alive character are teenagers and he is definitely not into romance 100% dedicated to being a solider following Erwin's orders.

    However, I can definitely see the appeal of this couple. Strongest man and strongest woman. She is defiant towards him and he doesn't scold her for that even though he is her superior officer. I also think Mikasa starting admiring/respecting him a little after he got injured protecting her and after he saved Eren from the female titan. Now whenever she's with him she doesn't have any animosity. Even if she might be a little upset I think she at least sees him a little more positively.

    Levi would be a good mentor for her not only in teaching her some of his tricks but also in controlling her emotions. He already saw that her weak point is getting reckless when Eren is in danger and he tried telling her to be careful about that. I think Mikasa needs more people to pull her back from becoming reckless.

    Now that the scouting legion is basically down to the 104th kids, Levi, Hanji, Erwin and some fodders Mikasa and Levi will probably have to work together again sometime in the future. Though both of them are injured now, don't know how Levi's injury is coming along. But Mikasa was recently injured.

    Also they have a lot of similarities and it's kinda hinted that she is the female version of him.
    *She has a scarf, he has a cravat.
    *Eren gave her purpose to life so she is loyal to him, Erwin Smith gave purpose to Levi so he is loyal to him.
    *Both admired by other soldiers for their unnatural talent
    *Both stoic and silent type

    In the manga Levi looks at her a lot when they are together and thinking "..." I think maybe she reminds him of himself when he was her age.

    @blacknighttown

    I don't think age gaps are a big deal in the SnK universe. They have so many casualties that they have to result to child soldiers. If you think about it, Mikasa has been through so much already. She has the mentality of an adult despite being a teenager. Besides, it's unpredictable when a person dies regardless of age because they can be killed by titans at any time, so old age doesn't matter as much it seems.

    @blacknighttown- thank you for that wonderful [as well as insightful (I was already excited about starting the manga -I've just finished the anime-, now I'm even more so)] comment, you've just made my day a bit brighter!

    I didn't ship anyone in SnK. To me,SnK is only an action anime.Romance seems not to fit the show. BTW,this picture looks hot. *^*

    I love this!! And to join in the discussion... I agree with you guys, this couple though obviously rare in canon, definitely has its appeal and is probably one of the sexiest in SNK when you really think about it. Though they are only starting to tolerate each other there are so many similarities there. They both shoulder so much and others rely on them so heavily. I think the idea of what might happen when the two collide with so much wrapped up emotion there is intriguing. I can see them becoming physically dependent on each other just because they are the only two that understand what it's really like to carry such a heavy burden of strength and power and I imagine they are both pretty lonely in that sense. Plus, even though Mikasa is obviously devoted to Eren entirely, I doubt she wouldn't be raptured by the idea that Levi is probably the only man that could make her feel like she can actually be the one being protected instead of the one doing the protecting... and Mikasa is probably the only woman (not counting Hanji, I love her but I'm sorry she's crack imo when it comes to Levi XD lol) to challenge Levi and be able to break those barriers he holds up so well...and those reasons alone makes the prospect of this couple pretty darn sexy if you ask me. :)
