  You both loose and gain something from watching the video compared to the play-by-plays. The speed at which the video plays you can miss some essential images. Like each character striking with their weapon, or the final image of England holding Little America's clothes (which, by the way, isn't that one of the saddest stories within Hetalia? I mean, they try and make it kind of funny but it's one of those things that's right up there with Japan hurting China, there's just no way to really make that less sad. It's the loss that we feel for each... but I'm digressing).
  But you lose some of the life without it. Really, it's as simple as that. It's an odd conundrum. So I highly recommend you watch the video. ^_^
