Aah! Megami-sama – Ah! My Goddess! – Fujishima Kousuke – _Images

Aah! Megami-sama is a manga created and illustrated by Kosuke Fujishima and published starting August 23, 1989 and ending July 23, 2014. The anime adaptation produced by Anime International Company aired starting in 2005 and ended in 2006. The original 1993 anime series was produced by KSS, Kodansha, Anime International Company and Tokyo Broadcasting System. It was directed by Hiroaki Goda, written by Nahoko Hasegawa and Kunihiko Kondo and had five episodes. It was released starting February 21, 1993 and ended on May 17, 1994. The character design was done by Osamu Tsuruyama, Hiroshi Kato and Hidenori Matsubara.

Ahh! Megami-sama Plot:

Morisato Keiichi, a college sophomore, accidently calls over Belldandy through the Goddess Help Line. She tells Keiichi that the agency sent her to grant him a wish. Keiichi takes this as a practical joke and tells her to be with him forever. Incidentally, his wish is granted.

Belldandy wishes to stay with Keiichi but he lives in a male-only dorm so they decide to move out and look for a place to stay together. They eventually come across a Buddhist temple a monk is convinced to do a pilgrimage to India after witnessing Belldandy’s kindness. Keiichi’s already odd life becomes even more complicated when Belldandy’s older sister, Urd, and younger sister, Skuld, move in with them. As the series goes on, Keiichi and Belldandy’s relationship develops.

Ahh! Megami-sama Characters:

Morisato Keiichi – Keiichi is a student in the Nekimo Institute of Technology. One day, he accidently dials the Goddess Help Line and summons Belldandy who tells him that she will grant him any wish. Thinking it’s a practical joke, he wishes for her to stay with him forever. He eventually develops feelings for Belldandy but doesn’t know how to express it.

Belldandy – Belldandy is a goddess who is contractually bound to a human, Keiichi Morisato. She lives in the Buddhist temple with Keiichi. She has the option to end their contract at any time but feels that Keiichi is special and makes it her goal to make him happy.

Urd – Urd is the half-sister of Belldandy. Urd’s position is the Yggdrasil System Manager and Administrator. She has the same mother as Belldandy and Skuld but her mother is Demon Lord Hild. This makes Urd a half-goddess and a half-demon.

Skuld – Skuld is Belldandy’s younger sister. She works as the Yggdrasil system debugger. She isn’t powerful in terms of magic but has superior intellect when it comes to inventions and engineering. She first went to Belldandy to bring her back to heaven under the guise of a system bug. Skuld believed Belldandy was being held against her will but in reality, she just missed Belldandy.
