Zombie-Loan – PEACH-PIT – _Images

Zombie-Loan is a manga made by Peach-Pit, Shibuko Ebara and Banri Sendo. It was published in GFantasy magazine by Square Enix starting May 2003 and ended on April 2011. The anime adaptation that aired on TV Asahi starting July 3, 2007 was produced by Xebec M2. It ended on September 11, 2007.

Zombie-Loan Plot:

A school girl, Michiru Kita, has the special ability called “Shinigami Eyes”, which grants her the power to see how close a person is to death by observing the ring around a person’s neck. If the person’s destiny to die is close, the ring turns grey and darkens each time they get closer to death. A dead person has a black ring around their neck. Michiru spots two boys in her school,**o Tachibana and Akatsuki, who have black rings around their necks but are still living. It is later discovered that the two boys died in an accident and are alive because of a deal with Zombie-Loan. To pay back their debt to Zombie-Loan, they have to hunt down zombies. They discover Michiru’s ability and get her to help them hunt Zombies.

Zombie-Loan Important Characters:

Kita Michiru – Michiru is a school girl who possesses the power of the Shinigami Eyes. Her Shinigami Eyes allow her to see a ring around people’s neck if they are near death. She despises her power as it indicated her parent’s death. She wears glasses to stop her from seeing the rings around people’s necks. She eventually joins Zombie-Loan and helps Akatsuki and**o hunt down zombies.

Akatsuki Chika – Akatsuki is a zombie who made a deal with Zombie-Loan to hunt down zombies to pay his debt. He is linked with*o with a spiritual chain because when he was revived by Zombie-Loan, they used*o’s right hand. He has the ability to guide a person’s soul into Heaven. He continues to work for Zombie-Loan to try an regain his life.

Tachibana*o –o is a zombie who was revived by Zombie-Loan after dying from an accident with Akatsuki. He is linked to Akatsuki by a spiritual chain that only people attuned to the spirits can see. Unlike Akatsuki,*o’s ability allows him to guide a person’s soul to Hell.
