Transformers (Japanese: トランスフォーマー) is a worldwide entertainment franchise by Hasbro (American) and Takara Tomy (Japanese) toys.
It was originally based on Takara Tomy’s Diaclone and Microman toylines which revolves on a faction of transforming alien robots (the Autobots and the Decepticons) in an eternal struggle for dominance and eventual peace.
Overtime, the franchise has long expanded across several media from comic books, to animations, feature length films and even video games.
Transformers first came out as a science fiction and action television series back in 1984.
Transformers was developed by Toei Animation and AKOM Studios featuring the voices of Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime & Ironhide), Dan Gilvezan (Bumblebee), Scatman Crothers (Jazz), Don Messick (Ratchet) and Frank Welker (Megatron).
Transformers encompasses four seasons coming to a grand total of 98 action-packed episodes.
