Koisuru Boukun is a manga series created by Hinako Takanaga and was published in Gush by Kaiosha starting February 2004 until the present. An OVA was developed by PrimeTime studio, directed by Keiji Kawakubo, written by Yukina Hiiro and was released on June 25, 2010.

Koisuru Boukun Plot

The story focuses on Morinaga and Suichi's story a year after the events in Challengers ended. Gay marriage has just been legalized in Los Angeles, California and frantic Souichi calls his beloved little brother, Tomoe, who now lives in America with his gay lover. Things didn't go as he planned and Morinaga (who have an unrequited love on Souichi for 5 long years) was left to calm the violent Souichi with a few drinks at his place. Well, A few drinks didn't satisfy Souichi so he orders Morinaga to buy some more. Impatient, Souichi searched Morinaga's apartment for any hidden booze and found one at the very back of a cupboard. When Morinaga came back, he was horrified to find his crush with the bottle he hid in the cupboard and asks if he's okay. The bottle was given to Morinaga by a concerned friend who is trying to help him finally get his love, but the bottle contains a drug that, according to Morinaga's friend, melts even the coldest person. A few hours later, the drug took effect and Souichi is too weak to do it by himself. Morinaga tried to just help him but his desire took over and now he had a taste of the forbidden fruit!

Koisuru Boukun Characters

Tatsumi Souichi - He is hot-headed, violent and he's known for being a tyrant. He became homophobic after he nearly got raped by a gay professor and other traumatic experiences with gay men. Although he despises gay people, he is very attached to his lab assistant, Morinaga, who confessed that he is gay and is deeply in love with him. He even tries to reason and convince himself that having sex with Morinaga is essential to stop him from leaving.

Morinaga Tetsuhiro - He grew up in a conservative family. He left his hometown right after he was discovered having a relationship with another guy. Heart broken, he partied and played around while studying. He fell in love at first sight with Souichi and became his lab assistant to become close to him. When Souichi found out that he's gay and he is in love with him, he tried to leave the university, but Souichi stopped him. On the second time he tried to leave the university (after he and Souichi had sex), Souichi stopped him from leaving again with the condition that he will have sex with Morinaga if he stays, a condition that Souichi said is an emotional blackmail.
