"The Infernal Devices" is a book trilogy by Cassandra Clare, published from 2011 to 2013 and set in Victorian London. It also got a graphic novel version by korean artist Baek Hye-kyung.

The story focuses on the sixteen year old orphan Tessa Gray, who moves from New York to London to live with her older brother Nate after the death of aunt Harriet. Soon Tessa discovers she's a shape-shifter and gets involved in the Shadowhunters, a group of Nephilim whose duty is to secretly protect humans from demons and other supernatural beings like vampires, werewolves, fairies and warlocks. The Shadowhunters decide to protect Tessa from a mysterious man called Magister, for whom the power of the girl is the fundamental building block to create an army of robots and conquer the world. Furthermore, two Shadowhunters, Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs, fall in love with Tessa and fight for her love.
