General Information
The "Progressive" series is a retelling of the "Aincrad" story arc, the 1st arc in the series. In the original light novel series, the events of "Aincrad" were covered over the course of 2 volumes and half of the 1st anime season.
However, as the story felt rushed to readers & viewers, "Progressive" dives deeper into the story and shows events and characters which never appeared in the original story. Kawahara plans to progress the story floor by floor.
