Supernatural – _Images

PLOT:
[Supernatural] follows the lives of two brothers, [Sam Winchester] and [Dean Winchester], as they follow their destiny of killing monsters, demons, and other creatures who threaten the lives of innocent people. Following the brutal death of their mother, their father went on a crusade to find the yellow-eyed demon who killed her. He soon disappears, which is the start of the brother’s quest: find their father, kill the yellow-eyed demon, and kill all the monsters along the way.

Although not in the anime series (as the anime only covers season one of the entire storyline), on their journey, they find many different characters who save them and help them with their causes (their motives change as they accomplish various goals and find new ones). One of these characters is the angel, [Castiel]. He becomes both an ally and an antagonist at times because of his naivety and his determination to follow God’s will. Cass’s

The anime series follows the live-action series in which Jared Padalecki plays Sam while Dean is played by Jensen Ackles. Castiel is played by actor Misha Collins.

CHARACTERS:

[Sam Winchester] is the younger Winchester brother and one of the main protagonists. He is the sensitive and more intelligent (read: book smart) of the two. He loves his family but finds himself at a crossroads because of his need to be his own person while also fulfilling his destiny. He never got along with his father because of their lives as demon/monster hunters.

[Dean Winchester] is the older Winchester brother and one of the main protagonists. While he may not be “book smart”, he is street smart and clever. He loves life on the road and can’t imagine doing anything other than what they were destined to do. When his journey sends him to hell (to save his brother), Castiel saves him by pulling him out.

[Castiel] becomes one of the main characters in the story. He saves Dean (and, later, Sam) when he gets sent to hell. He becomes Dean’s guardian but cares deeply for both brothers and watches after them both. His journey to becoming human and his interactions with humans are often hilarious because of his inability to relate to them – though he tries. Humans fascinate him.
