Shimura Shinpachi – Gintama – _Images

Shimura Shinpachi is Gintoki’s apprentice and also a member of the Yorozuya gang. He used to train swordsmanship at their family’s dojo but ever since their dad, he and his sister have been left to care for the dojo and the huge debt they owe to a ruthless loan shark. He is often bullied by people around him, whether it’s by Gintoki, his supposed employer or KAgura, an alien race who now works for the Yorozuya. Despite is rather meek appearance, Shinpachi is actually a competent swordsman, not on par with Gintoki, but he is able to fend off a number of opponents single-handedly. Despite his rather short and limited dojo training, Shinpachi is a master of the Tendoumushin fighting style, a master in his own right. What he lacks in skills, he compensates with tactical strategies trying to outsmart his opponents rather than beating them at brute force.
