The Scum Villian's Self-Saving System (人渣反派自救系统, Rén zhā fǎnpài zìjiù xìtǒng) is a Chinese Danmei (Boy's Love) novel written by the author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (墨香铜臭). Originally published in 2014 on the website Jinjiang Literature City.

Web novel nerd Shen Yuan dies enraged while reading the male power fantasy harem novel Proud Immortal Demon Way. Cursing the novel's bad writing with his final thoughts, he manages to activate The System, a robotic disembodied voice in his head challenging him to create a better story. Shen Yuan then finds himself transmigrated into the body of Shen Qingqiu, one of series' antagonists who is destined to die a brutal death at the hands of the protagonist Luo Binghe.

Threatened with the prospect of returning to his original body if he acts out of character or fails to accomplish important plot points, Shen Qingqiu must find a way to build goodwill towards himself while still maintaining his image as a cold and strict teacher. But this shift in personality leads to some unexpected results.

Scum Villian was adapted into a CGI donghua in 2020 titled Scumbag System (穿书自救指南, Chuān Shū Zì Jiù Zhǐ Nán), produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures with animation by Djinn Power.
