Princess Tutu – _Images

Princesss Tutu is an anime series directed by both Junichi Sato and Shogo Koumoto and was created by Hal Film Maker. It aired on NHK and Anime Network starting August 16, 2002 and ended May 23, 2004. A manga adaptation was written by Mizuo Shinonome and was published in Champion Red by Akita Shoten starting March 20, 2003 and ended July 17, 2003.

Princess Tutu Plot
Ahiru is a clumsy ballet student at Kinkan Academy. Although Ahiru appears to be an ordinary human girl, she is actually a duck. Drosselmeyer, a writer who has the power to turn his stories into reality, died before finishing his final story, "The Prince and The Raven". Ahiru the duck was tasked to collect the shattered pieces of her crush's heart, Prince Mytho, to give an ending to an unfinished fairytale.

Princess Tutu Characters

Arima Ahiru - Ahiru is a kind-hearted duck who was turned into a human girl by Drosselmeyer, a writer who has the power to turn his stories into reality, by giving her a magical pendant. If Ahiru removes her pendant or accidentally quacks while talking, she will turn back into a duck. The pendant also allows her to turn into a graceful and beautiful ballerina called Princess Tutu. Ahiru has a crush on Prince Mytho, but she's unable to confess because she will turn into a speck of light and vanish if she does.

Fakir - He is Mytho's roommae and a talented ballet dancer. He is cold, rude and possessive of Mytho, who is dependent on him. He controls whatever Mytho does and was against the restoration of Mytho's heart because it might repeat the tragedy from the past until Ahiru explains that Mytho wants his heart back. He is the reincarnation of the Knight in the fairytale and the descendant of Drosselmeyer. He also inherited the ability to turn his stories into reality.

Kuroha Rue - She is an advanced ballet student and admired by other students. She is cold to others and only Ahiru dares befriends her. She has known Mytho since childhood and have always loved him ever since he saved her from crows. Just like Ahiru, Rue has an alter ego called Princess Kraehe, the daughter of the Raven. She is afraid that if the prince regains his heart, he will fall in love with Princess Tutu instead so she interferes with Tutu's attempts to restore his heart.

Mytho - He is the protagonist in Drosselmeyer's "The Prince and The Raven". He shattered his heart to seal away the Raven to protect the weak and needy leaving him emotionless. He is popular in school and is a talented ballet dancer. He is also very dependent to his roommate and childhood friend, Fakir.
