General Information

Disgaea is a tactical RPG for the PlayStation 2 developed by Nippon Ichi Software and was published on January 30, 2003. It was then re-released for the PlayStation Portable on November 30, 2006 and for the Nintendo DS on June 26, 2008. There was also a manga adaptation released in 2006. Souhei Niikawa and Yoshitsuna Kobayashi are the Disgaea’s main programmers and producers. Nippon Ichi’s Tekehito Harada was the character designer.

Makai Senki Disgaea Plot:

Disgaea starts with Laharl waking up from his coffin and Etna, his retainer, explains that he has been asleep for two year. During that time, Laharl’s father, King Krichevskoy, has died and his father’s title “Overlord of the Netherworld” has been compromised. Laharl journeys to return to the throne with the help of Etna. He then meets Flonne while defeating a Vyers (competitor for the throne). Flonne then joins Laharl to discover if demons are capable of loving. Throughout his journey, Laharl meets many odd personalities like a humans dressed up as Sentais, monsters, demons and angels.
