Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (trans. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) is a Japanese magical girl television series directed by none other than the man who brought us Negima!!, Monogatari and Dance of the Vampire Bund, Mr. Akiyuki Shinbo.
Masaki Tsuzuki wrote the script for Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha and was developed by Seven Arcs Studios.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha started broadcasting on TVS, TVO, CTC, TVK and Animax last October 2004.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha ended with 13 splendidly-done episodes.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is actually a spin-off of the Triangle Heart series which was made famous back in 2000.


On November 2009, Masaki Tsuzuki adapted the series into a manga with 2 volumes published in Gakken’s Megami Magazine.
An anime film was also in the works entitled the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha: The Movie which was released early January 2010.
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is well-known Japanese multimedia franchise with three (3) television anime series, two theatrical adaptations, multiple manga and drama CDs.
Overall, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha takes an innovative approach to the magical girl genre, focusing more on the battle than on characterization as most anime shows in the genre do.

Plot:

Yuuno Scrya is a mage from a rather distant planet who was adamant on working to fix the problem he started when the mysterious Jewel Seeds were accidentally spread around the world.
These Jewel Seeds are ancient artifacts that give off unnatural powers to beings that come in contact with, oftentimes turning them into monsters.
In a failed attempt to seal a seed properly, he later finds himself on Earth in the form of a ferret.
Despite his rather unfortunate situation, he is determined more than ever to find the seeds and seal it before it’s too late.
In order to do so, he needs somebody else’s help to seal the seeds in his stead. That’s where Takamichi Nanoha comes in. Nanoha hears his telepathic cries for help and comes to his rescue.
She is later given a mysterious pearl known as the “Raging Heart”, she transforms into Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.
With a staff at hand, she fends off the evil that was turned by the Jewel Seeds. Thus begins Nanoha’s quest to find and seal the 21 Jewel Seeds that is spread around the world before catastrophic events start to happen.
To make matters worse, monsters are the least of their worries as Yuuno and Nanoha are not the only ones trying to collect the Jewel Seeds.
