League of Legends (LoL) is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows, inspired by the popular Defense of the Ancients map for [Warcraft III]. It was first announced on October 7, 2008, and released on October 27, 2009. The game was in a closed beta from April 10, 2009, to October 22, 2009. It then transitioned to open beta until release.

League of Legends Plot:

In the world of Runeterra, the island, Valoran is divided into two powerful, warring factions. To the west coast of Valoran is Demacia, the human city-state that is the pinnacle of virtue. To the east of Valoran is Noxus, the human city-state that values strength in any form over anything else. Demacia and Valoran waged two wars destroying Valoran and causing huge disasters.

In response to the Rune wars, Valoran’s powerful magicians and Summoners decided that conflicts had to be settled in a systematic and controlled way. They created the League of Legends whose goal was to supervise the resolving of Valoran’s political conflicts. From then on, all political disputes would be settled in arenas throughout the island of Valoran. Summoners who represented a faction would summon a champion who leads minions summoned by novice Summoners by using their Nexus’ power. The arenas came to be called The Fields of Justice.

League of Legends Characters:

[Ahri] – Ahri is a fox from Ionia. She has always felt a connection with magic and has always dreamt of becoming human. She came across the aftermath of a human battle and was drawn to a robed man with a magic field around him. She went close to him and felt his life pour into her. She then realized that her fur receded and she possessed a humanoid form.

[Sona] – Sona was abandoned in an adoption house in Ionia as a child. When she was abandoned, she was left with an ancient instrument of unknown origins. She was mistaken to be very well-behaved but in actuality, it turned out that she was unable to speak or make any sound. The adoption house kept trying to sell her instrument with some success but it kept being returned or would show up in the adoption house. A Demacian woman, Lestara, heard of the instrument and adopted Sona as well as bought the instrument. Sona then learned how to play the Etwahl (her instrument) and became a headlining musician.


[Lulu] – Lulu is a Yordle who spent her youth in Bandle City. Instead of staying in the city, she loved wandering the forest. One day, she found a Fae spirit, Pix, who pretended to be stuck in a birdhouse. Pix lured Lulu into the home of the fae, Glade. She then learned fae games but she was told that they were only pretending. Lulu became really good at these games. She then realized that she had been from Bandle City for a long time, she made it a point to return. When she returned to Bandle City with Pix, she realized that the world was totally different. She then discovered that time in Glade worked differently and that a short time there meant centuries outside. She tried to play the fae games with other Yordles but their parents didn’t appreciate her turning them into animals and flowers. She then turned to the League of Legends to play her magical games.
