Laura Bodewig is the first-year Cadet Representative of Germany. She is actually a genetically-engineered super soldier and is the acting commander of the German IS Special Forces, the Schwarzer Hase (aka the Black Rabbit). She pilots the Schwarzer Regen, a medium to long-range artillery unit. Built in the IS is an Active Inertial Canceller (AIC) which can be used to stop projectiles or even another IS unit.
