Kurapika – Hunter × Hunter – _Images

Kurapika is member of the Kurta tribe. His tribe was massacred by the Phantom Troupe (which later appears in the series)
When angered or excited Kurapika's eyes turn scarlet. This was the same for all the tribe. These scarlet eyes were to be one of the seven most beautiful eyes in the world. The tribe was massacred and their eyes taken away. Kurapika, being the only survivor of the tribe, has only one thing in his heart, revenge!
When his tribe was still alive he and Pairo, his best friend, saved a female outsider called Sheila. She gave them a book about a Hunter in the outside world. His village elder refuses for him to leave, but when his tribe is massacred, he knows whats his first step is.
He embarks in his journey for revenge, starting with his appearance in the hunter exam, where he befriends Gon, Killua and Leorio.
His eyes normally are brown (blue in the 1999 series), and his hairs are blond. He wears a blue tabard decorated with an orange-colored hem. Later in the series he changes his clothes somewhat.
Kurapika is very kind and intelligent, but sometime reckless, since his heart is full of hatred and sadness for his lost tribe.

Notes:
In the old series, Kurapika was voice acted by Kaida Yuki. As for the 2011 anime reboot
he was voice acted by Sawashiro Miyuki.
