Kowarekake no Orgol is a doujin (self-published) anime created by POP, the illustrator of the English-teaching guides for otaku that inspired the Moetan anime. Kowarekake no Orgol, which translates as Half-Broken Music Box, tells the story about a musician who has been unsuccessful after many auditions, and meets a mysterious girl who starts living with him.
The anime short debuted during the final days of 2008 at the Comic Market 75 doujin convention, where it was presented under POP's ElectromagneticWave brand. The final version was released one year later at Comic Market 77.
