Toma Kamijo is your average student at Academy City who despite his impeccable in all other things keeps failing in his esper studies. He has a strong sense of justice which would explain why he keeps finding himself in predicaments and troubling situations. Despite being branded as the lowest rank esper, Level 0, his right hand turns out to be the legendary and mysterious Imagine Breaker with the power to negate all magic, esper or divine powers, and in his case, even his luck. Due to his rather profound bad luck, Toma keeps finding himself in brawls and street fights. Although he may not have an awesome esper powers, he compensates for them with his quick thinking and his ominous Imagine Break especially when he finds himself in a fight with an esper or a magician.
