Kagura is actually an Amanto, an alien, part of the infamous Yato Clan which is known for their inhuman strength and unquenchable bloodthirst. She came to Earth to earn a living and get lots of money. She found work fighting for a group of hoodlums who turns out tobe thew Yakuza group in charge of that area. Everything went well till the day she was ordered to kill a target. She’s been running from them since then till the day he bumped into Gintoki and Shinpachi. She can get tomboyish at times, speaking and acting bluntly without remorse over the consequences. Due to their highly sensitive skin to sunlight, the Yato Clan is used to carrying a parasol, a kind of umbrella, as their weapon of choice. Her particular umbrella is bullet proof and can even fire bullets at her opponents.
