Jiang Wei used to be a general under Ma Zun before he was defeated by Zhuge Liang. Zhuge Liang was impressed by his strategic planning and took him into Shu to mentor him. After Zhuge Liang’s death, he persisted on the war against Wei in the north even after the Son of Liu Bei and new leader of the Shu, Liu Shan, surrendered. He was the only student Zhuge Liang taught and has one of the most tragic story lines in the whole series.
Jiang Wei is loyal, courageous and hot blooded. Jiang Wei looks up to his Mentor, Zhuge Liang, and wishes to level his militaristic brilliance. He sometimes gets carried away because he always compares himself to his mentor and puts himself down during failures. He has his ups and downs when it comes to leading Shu’s armies. It’s either he’s not experienced enough to reach Zhuge Liang’s achievements or he’s capable but just unlucky.
For Jiang Wei, Zhuge Liang is the ultimate military tactician and whoever tries to insult his mentor is sure to hear about it from Jiang Wei. Jiang Wei respects the rest of the generals in Shu and always tries his best to be respectful and formal by calling them “lady” or “master”.
Jiang Wei has long, brown hair tied into a pony tail with his bangs covering his forehead and the sides of his face. He always looks incredibly young to give that “greenhorn” feel. He has very serious or unfeeling eyes almost like a permanent poker face.
He wears a ling, green coat with pieces of black, leather armor on his shoulders, forearms, waist and calves. He also wears a piece of cloth tucked into his armor with a wing pattern on it. His coat and armor are tied to his body by a very long, maroon cloth that hangs from his waist. His color theme is green, white and black. He carries a heavy spear called a three point double-edge blade. It is a spear with three blades on both sides of a black staff.
