Hoshizora Rin is one of the nine main characters of Love Live! School Idol Project. She is a first year high school student of Otonokizaka Academy and is 15 years old similar to Koizumi Hanayo who is her closests friend in the series. She was born on the 1st of November and her zodiac sign is Scorpio. She is shown in the anime series as 155 centimeter tall girl who has short, orange hair and chartreuse eyes and having fair complexion.

Her character main color theme is yellow and lime though in the anime, she is often portrayed having the color theme of teal. Hoshizora Rin has been friends with Koizumi Hanayo since they were little and has been known to be very sporty and active. One of her signature characteristic is that she tends to have a boy’s get up since she is uncomfortable wearing skirts due to an incident when she was still a child. She also has a habit of ending her sentences with “nyan~” (Meow) which may be a nod on a real life idol named Tsugunaga Momoko who is famous for her “yurushite nyan~!” which means “Forgive me, meow!”

She also tends to behave like a cat and is sometimes portrayed having that cat-like mouth appearance (:3) In fact, in one of their songs, she dresses up as one, having cat ears and tail. In addition to these facts, she enjoys teasing Hanayo and often appears in the anime with her. She can also be compared with Kousaka Honoka when it comes to her determination and hard work. Because of her active lifestyle, she is very skilled when it comes to hurdling, football and basketball and is considered the group’s physically active member. She is part of the trio idol unit Lily White and her voice actress is Riho Iida.
