Harry Potter – _Images

Harry Potter is a novel series authored by J. K. Rowling. The first of the seven novels, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, was released on the 30th of June, 1997 and was initially printed by two publishers, Bloomsbury in the UK and Scholastic Press in the US. The book has then been made into eight films by Warner Bros. Pictures where the seventh book was split into two parts.

Harry Potter Plot

Harry Potter is an orphan boy who lives with his Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and cousin Dudley in a perfectly normal neighborhood of Privet Drive. He has a lighting shaped scar on his forehead and sleeps in the cupboard underneath the stairs. He is neglected by his uncle and aunt and his cousin constantly bullies him. That is until a strange letter from no one arrived in the mail. His aunt and uncle was horrified at the site of it and did everything they could to prevent Harry from getting his letter. But he did get his letter in the end with the help of a beetle-eyed giant of a man, and the letter says that he has been enrolled in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter is a wizard!
Harry Potter Characters

Harry Potter - When Harry was just a year old, his parents were killed by a powerful dark wizard called Lord Voldemort (commonly referred to as "You-Know-Who" or "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named"). Lord Voldemort tried to kill Harry too, but the curse failed destroying Lord Voldemort in the process, while Harry only received a lightning shaped scar. He was brought to his mother's sister's family, the Dursleys, to live from then on where he was neglected by his aunt and uncle.

Nearing his 11th birthday, he received a letter from no one which the Dursleys was quick to take away from Harry, but after a flurry of letters and a beetle-eyed giant, they couldn't keep Harry away from what he truly is - a wizard.

Ron Weasley - He is the sixth son of a red-headed pureblood family, the Weasleys. He first met Harry in the Hogwarts Express after his twin brothers told his mother that they had just met Harry Potter. He and Harry became best of friends almost immediately. JK Rowling described Ron as the ultimate best friend.

Hermione Granger - She is a muggle born (meaning she's born from non-magical parents) witch. She is talented, but a bit bossy and was not in good terms with Harry and Ron (who gets into trouble a lot) at first, but she became their close friend after Harry and Ron saved her from a troll.
