Duel Masters (Game) – _Images

Duel Masters is a manga created and illustrated by Shigenobu Matsumoto and was published in CoroCoro Comic starting May 1999 and ended March 2005 by Shogakukan. An anime adaptation was made by Studio Hibari, directed by Waruro Suzuki and aired on TV Tokyo starting October 21, 2002 and ended April 4, 2003. The trading card game was marketed by Takara Tomy.

Duel Masters Plot:

Duel Masters’ story revolves around the game, “Duel Masters” and five civilizations (Nature, Light, Darkness, Water and Fire). The real world were Shobu Kirifuda lives, is where cards are played whereas the creature world is where the war between the civilizations take place. The duelists use “Kaijudo” to bring the card monsters to life and make them appear during the duels.

Duel Masters Characters:

Kirifuda Shobu – Shobu is the son of Shori Kirifuda. He loves nothing more than dueling and his favorite card is Bolshack Dragon. He dreams of meeting his father again and wants to become the best duelist he can be. Unlike most people who duel, he duels for fun.

Kadoko Rekuta – Rekuta is a very knowledgeable card collector who often helps Shobu during his duels. He knows the ins and outs of the Duel Masters rules but is a horrible duelist. He owns almost every card released but for some reason, can’t use the cards properly.

Sayuki – Sayuji plays more of a cheerleader role to Shobu. She loves the Duel Masters game but doesn’t know a lot about the game. Regardless, she does what she can to help her friends and has defeated Rekuta in several duels.

Kyoshiro Kokujo – When Toru was waiting to duel Shobu, Kokujo challenges Toru, beats him and poses as him to duels Shobu. He then quickly turns the duel making Shobu think he was winning and beats him.
