Diamond no Ace – Ace of Diamond – _Images

Diamond no Ace is a Japanese shounen sport manga written and illustrated by Terajima Yuuji.

Series is split into two parts, part one concentrating on Sawamura Eijun joining on an elite school baseball team and the whole year experience, while part two picks up a year later when 3rd years have graduated and new freshmans joining up the team. The first part of the series was published by Weekly Shounen Magazine (Kodansha) starting from 2006, No.24 issue (released on May 17, 2006) until 2015, No.7 issue (July 15, 2015) with total 47 volumes. Second part, also known as "Diamond no Ace actII" was suppose to start serializing in spring but was postponed until August 19, 2015 and is still on-going.

An anime adaption of Diamond no Ace part 1 started with first season airing on October 6, 2013 and the second season on April 6, 2015. Both anime adaptions were animated by MADHOUSE and Production I.G. with Ueda Minoru as the character designer.

It was announced that Act 2 (part 2) is to be aired in April 2, 2019 with MADHOUSE as an animation studio and Tasaki Satoshi as the character designer.
