Death Note Characters

L Lawliet – L is a world-famous detective who makes it his goal to hunt down and catch Kira, a serial killer. During his investigation, he begins to suspect that Yagami Raito and makes it a point to prove that Kira is indeed Yagami Raito.

Yagami Light – Light is Death Note’s main protagonist. He becomes a sort of vigilante after he gets hold of the Death Note to get rid of all the criminals on the world. His killings are labelled as killing by “Kira”.

Mello – Mello is one of L’s successors. Roger picks out Mello to help Near capture Kira. Mello refuses the offer not wanting to work for someone but eventually seeks help from the Mafia to catch Kira.

Amane Misa – Misa is model who supports Kira’s work and eventually becomes Kira’s successor. She gets hold of the Death Note and looks for Kira to thank him for the death of a man who killed Misa’s family. She eventually learns that Yagami Raito is Kira.
