PLOT:

Aquarian Age is a trading card game, video game, manga, and anime series (the anime series is called Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution). The general story (no matter the format) centers around the fact that humanity has always had war: overt and covert. Secret and powerful organizations fight for control and to have the ability to shape mankind’s destiny.

The various factions involved include the Arayashiki (the eastern mages who practice magic in theory), the WIZ-DOM (western magery which encompasses pagen, kabbalistic, and druidic magic), Darklore (demihumans and monsters), E.G.O (the next level of human evolution which include artificial humanoids, and people who possess psionic abilities), Mindbreakers (the group of men and women who can unlock the potential powers of people of the other factions and control them), and Eraser (the non-earth based faction). There is also a faction called “The Polestar Empire” who are fantasy-like characters from another dimension of Earth.

The anime centers around a student named Kamikurata Kyouta - who is also the lead vocalist for his band, T.L. Signal. While at a concert one day, he (and his good friend/girlfriend, Sannou Yoriko) notice a war going on – but no one else seems to see it. Yori denies seeing anything and Kyouta is just left confused. In addition to this, he has been seeing visions of flashes of light and women flying and fighting through the sky.

So the questions remain: who are these fighting girls? Why can no one but Kyouta and Yoriko see them (and why can they see them)? Do they have powers too? Will his band survive the war?

The composer who created the background music for Noir also created the background music for Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution.

CHARACTERS:

Kyouta Kamikurata – the main character of the anime. He is the lead singer of the band T.L. Signal.

Yoriko Sannou - Kyouta’s girlfriend and an important factor in the war.
