AMNESIA is a visual novel series developed by Idea Factory for the PlayStation Portable on August 11, 2011. The first sequel, AMNESIA later was also released for the PlayStation Portable for March 15, 2012. The third sequel, AMNESIA Crowd, was released on April 18, 2013. An anime series adaptation of AMNESIA was made by Brain Base studio, written by Touko Machida, directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi and aired starting January 7, 2013 and ended March 25, 2013 on AT-X, KBS Kyoto, SUN TV and BS11 Digital. The next sequel of the AMNESIA game series, AMNESIA, Memories, was released on December 19, 2013 for the PC and the PlayStation Vita. AMNESIA World was released on May 22, 2014 for the PlayStation Vita. The most recent release of the AMNESIA games is AMNESIA Later x Crowd V Edition was released on October 16, 2014 for the PlayStation Vita.

AMNESIA Plot:
AMNESIA takes place in a totally fictional world where a young woman has awoken with no memories of her life including the people she knows and her name. All she has with her is a mobile phone with contacts she is unfamiliar with and a mysterious young boy, Orion, who only she can see. Orion guides her to try to remember who she is and to make sense of her already existing life such as her boyfriend, friends, school and other daily encounters. Unable to regain her memories, she decides to create new memories at the cost of her previous life.

AMNESIA Characters:

Heroine (AMNESIA) – Heroine in AMNESIA is a 20 year old university student who has forgotten everything about her life. She wakes up with a cellphone and with the guidance of a mysterious boy, Orion; she works to rebuild her life. In the anime, she has no name.

Shin (AMNESIA) – Shin is a young man in high school who is hard at work to enter university. He is Heroine’s childhood friend. He works hard at his future to not be compared to his father because his father accidently killed a man when drunk. Because of his father’s crime, Shin was always bullied for it.

Ikki (AMNESIA) – Ikki is a university student in his fourth year that enjoys bar games such as billiards, darts and table tennis taking pride in doing well with anything that requires his hands and doing math problems for his best friend, Kent. When he was a child, he wished upon a shooting star to make him irresistible to women. The wish was granted which he later saw as a curse. Somehow, Heroine is not affected by the curse at all which is why Ikki has taken a liking to Heroine.

Toma (AMNESIA) – Toma is a 20 years old university student in his second year that is Shin and Heroine’s childhood friend and acts as a sort of older brother to the two. He is involved in a lot of extracurricular activities such as running a newspaper, soccer, archery and broadcasting. Despite his busy week, he still finds time to enjoy playing video games, cook, read, surfing the net and basketball.
