I assume the hand gesture that America is using is bad in Scandinavia (I don't know about the rest of Europe, though.) Kinda like what Norway is doing in return... -

@karatemaster101:
the hand gesture that Alfred is using... it's actually the kind of gesture that people use in rock stuff... xD It's a common believe that Scandinavians are all about rock, since Norway, Finland and Sweden have an important amount of (death metal, black metal, and melodic metal) rock bands xD.... Denmark is more into classic rock such as kind of indie and somehow more similar to england in that matter, and Iceland... well... he has Bjork xD.... -

I looked it up it's translates like a salute to Satan in Scandinavia and like Ducere said has to do with the hardcore metal (which most has to do with the devil anyways). So there not mad more leery of the fact that America might be a devil worshiper. -

This is the funniest thing ever! I found it a little while back, and didn't get it but I liked it anyways. Then my friend was talking about how hook em horns was the devil or something... and I laughed and she was so confused. -

Typical Americans. But it isn't just them.
I remember haven't a Swiss coming to NZ and talking to everyone about his wealth and asking how much others get, it was normal for his country to say those things, but our reaction was similar to the nordics....XD -

This reminds me of my friend... She has no idea how to act around people that aren't from here, regarding what's offensive and what's not, that is. (It doesn't just go for other countries, even just Northern US...) -

I think the daughter of one of the American presidents actually did that once. She was a Texas A&M (?) alumnus, so she made the gesture for the school slogan/mascot, the Hook 'Em Longhorns... And apparently, yes, over there, without context, the locals thought she was a devil worshipper.
