MintyLlama Jul 14, 2012I get the fandom loves Joan of Arc, but there really is no reason for her to be in these sort of pictures besides the fact that the fandom likes her. She wasn't /that/ important to history-- if you want a French historical figure who was important try, oh I don't know, Napoleon?
Either way, this is beautiful. -

snowlily3 Feb 26, 2013MintyLlama, the reason why joan of ark is so popular in the fandom is because she has a official design made by himaruya and a touching background comic. If himaruya had made a comic strip based on napoleon then he would probably be more popular, but hima didn't so that's that. And it makes sense for her to be shown in the comics, because not only was she a woman (woman weren't equal to men in most respects and a female solider let alone COMMANDER was unheard of), she showed unconditional love for her faith and country. She was a martyr and a true patriot of France, if anything this brave woman DESERVES to be featured in beautiful fanarts like this.
