    @xKuroPerfectx ___it's automatically appear there, i didn't tag it -.-'' (can't delete it either)
@Fairy Water ___VN is in green dress, she is not changing her gender in this pic..(odd)

  • emoloverof13

    Jun 14, 2011

No actually I think the one in green is supposed to be girl Thailand and that they just left out Vietnam...I'm not really sure though

  • Hetaliokid

    Jun 14, 2011

yes, asian genderbend did not include VN, and that girl in the green dress somehow is not Thailand.
Since she's wearing some kind of chinese clothes, so everyone think that she could be Macau. We can't say anything cause Hima-sensei didn't mention anything about her *sight*

  • Fairy Water

    Jun 16, 2011

somehow i have to agree with Hetaliokid ="=

I think that's Vietnam, because of that star under her. Vietnamese flag have one star in the middle. So I think it's her. :D

  • RusLove21

    Jun 22, 2011

i also think the green girl is vietnam because of the star and their similar appearances, but vietnam DOES have a genderbent version! and he's very hot~ http://www.zerochan.net/508931

  • Hetaliokid

    Jun 22, 2011

@SSanny2: well, i guess in this fanart, that girl is Vietnam. But Vietnam dont have that kind of clothes, it's Cheongsam =w=. Lol, i wish Macau is a boy <3

  • SSanny2

    @RusLove21 - yeah, he's so handsome..:D
@Hetaliokid - yeah, you're right, they have ao dai.:), i throught that Macau is boy :P

I think the artist of this fanart doeans't know anything about Viet Nam. Vietnamese Ao Dai isn't Chinese Cheongsam. Wearing Ao Dai must wear silk pantaloons. And Ao Dai doesn't have hem.

  • Chi-Chan

Me either..I don't think that's Ao dai and and that girl, I'm not very sure...Why do people always mistake Ao dai with Chinese's Clothes?

  • Hetaliokid

    Jul 01, 2011

    @Chi-chan: because they're VERY alike, da? =_=
and we can't blame it too since aodai is originate from Cheongsam.

When I asked my mom "Do you think that Aodai's from Chinese's clothes?" She answered: "Not at all" o_O"

it could be, i mean VietNam is under china rule for quiet awhile right, and since well, Asian country (like these) does have similar style of traditional clothing if someone said if ao dai is somehow(sorta) originate from chinese cloth i wouldn't be surprise...(of course in this picture VietNam is not wearing ao dai...)

    Jul 27, 2011

@Chi-chan: I think what your mom said isn't true. Why don't you ask yor mother why Ao Dai's collar is exactly the same like Chinese traditional clothes?

  • hetafan

    Jul 27, 2011

IMHO, I think Aodai is based on Chinese's Cheongsam
@Soo: the girl in the green Cheongsam is actually MAcau, not Thailand ^^

  • Im Yong Soo

    Jul 28, 2011

Oh, i see. I think you are right. The girl is Macau.
By the way, i agree w you, Ao Dai is based on Chinese's Cheongsam

but what about that star under her?_Macau's flag don't have any stars. Man, I'm confused

  • rennasakura

    Aug 02, 2011

This is not MACAU, NOT Thailand either, IT IS Vietnam, no more agrue(and whoever have that Macau tag please TAKE it OUT because it gonna confuse people)
Macau doesn't have Star as the main thing on the flag, it WAS a FLOWER /Macau is a GUY/Macau is not a official character when this picture was created/When people don't know about Vietnamese traditional clothes, they can made it look lik Cheongsam, and I've seen Vietnamese people wear Cheongsam before, what's wrong with that? not lik this is the first time people mistake VietNam. FOR OTHER COUNTRIES!
this picture is the way is it when i found it in pixpiv so please I ASK NO MORE arguing, Thank you

you guys ="= i think it's because author don't know about Vietnam. Ao dai in this pic is wrong!!! i'm vietnamese ="=
@ Im Yong Soo: "Ao Dai is based on Chinese's Cheongsam"? Hey, you're wrong!! Cheongsam has appeared in 20th century, but Ao dai was 18th!! So, you can't say "Ao dai is based on Chinese's Cheongsam" >"<

  • Im Yong Soo

    Aug 28, 2011

Hey, u r right about that Ao Dai is wrong . And if u said Ao Dai isn't based on Cheongsam. THEN U R WRONG! ABSOLUTELY WRONG! Cheongsam appeared MUCH OLDER than Ao Dai (since the Manchu ruled China). U should read more about Cheongsam's history dude.

So..Let me see..She's Vietnam right? but Why doesnt she turn into a Genderbending like Taiwan? or they left out Vietnam and thats FemThailand? not like I repeat you guys...but...there're so many pics that they left out Vietnam and draws Thailand

  • Im Yong Soo

    Sep 04, 2011

@Chi-chan : I don't really understand all what u r saying. But i dun think that is vn. I think that's genderbending Macau.
And yes . There r sum pics that they let out vn and draw Macau or Thailand. But i dun think it's really a matter. It depends on the person who draw it.

  • xiaoyinhu

    Sep 23, 2011

    Sep 23, 2011

@nekokamy: Sorry, but I think you should read my comment more carefully, I said 'In my HUMBLE opinion', it's not like I said 'I am SURE', please do not misunderstand my words.
I don't do much research but for what I know, still a very humble opinion of mine, Ao Dai appeared in the 18th centery, on the other hand, Cheongsam had appeared in the 17th century when the Manchu ruled China during the Qing Dynasty. Both Vietnamese Ao Dai and the Tibetan traditional dress bear similarity to the Cheongsam. However, I don't like war, so again this is just another HUMBLE opinion of mine, please do not misunderstand my words. (I meant Ao Dai is only 'BASED ON' ((by based on here I certainly mean influenced by)) the Chinese Cheongsam.)

  • Im Yong Soo

    avatar

    Sep 24, 2011

@ Hetafan :well, actually, The Manchu ruled China isn't in the 17th century. I think it's about from 16,500 and 19,000 BC. If ya mean based on is influenced then i dun agree. Based on mean that ya do sth but ya like copy it but have a few differents . Like a copy but different in some parts.

  • thebigbad

    Sep 24, 2011

Um.. Vietnam has very heavy Chinese influence, like starting 111BC- when China 'reconquered' Vietnam in the 1st Chinese domination (of 4, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Vietnamese ) and if you just wiki- Ao dai, the term originated from Chinese and was influenced by fashions of the Chinese Imperial Court.

  • Im Yong Soo

    avatar

    Sep 24, 2011

actually is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY heavy influence . =]]

  • hetafan

    Sep 24, 2011

@Yong Soo: Yes, I copied them from wiki yesterday, I don't deny it, I said it before, I don't do much research so as for that, I was too lazy writing them out.
