@LisKira I'm Latvian so I am pretty sure Prussia is of Baltic origins. Only later it was occupied by Germany and therefore became Prussia as a German state. We've been learning that in schools for ages that our "brothers" are Lithuanians and Prussians.
Let me just find proof...

Prussia was Baltic until the Germanic group known as the Teutonic Knights came along on what would be known as the Prussian Crusade. So he's sort of both historiclly. However, our Gilbert is shown being the Germanic Teutonic knights in the series (Which is why he was helping Hungary when they were kids). So... yeah, you guys are sort of both right.
Seriously though, its odd to see him missing but.. I like this picture. It's cute. -

Prussia may be Baltic but the Character in Hetalia is not meant to be Baltic but German -_- The "Story of Prussia" as the World knows it beginns in Brandenburg/ Germany 1600 and ends there in 1947. Frederick William I, Elector of Brandenburg got that territorium and later on every land the Hohenzollern ruled was simply called "Prussia" (including Silesia and the western german states which were occupied later). If Frederick William I would have first gained ..well ..Silesia for example. It could have happend, that we know Gilbert today under "Silesia"... It has nothing to do with Prussia itself! -

Hey guys. chill out. You might be farther in schooling then others are. So you can kindly tell someone. Not calling them names. In the anime Prussia is German. And besides Hetalia has almost no historical info.
