so, apparently, it was Sebastian who ended the worst, after all.

@kittypaw88 they're all bad guys in this series. there is no good guy here, except, perhaps Elizabeth and Ciel's servants.
Ciel and Sebastian are villain protagonists, who just fought against Alois and Claude, who are villain antagonists.

"Those who lost forever and those who gained eternity"...it was a horribly sad ending, yet beautiful in a way I can't describe TT^TT and the last episode brought such a hollow kind of ache, like everything was for naught *sniffles*

Correct me if Im wrong but actually Ciel found happiness.
He said he felt a great weight was lifted off his shoulders.
    In the end only Sebastian had to suffer. ;w;

Incorrectly, Ciel's the one who suffered at the end. Not only was his family and past was taken from him, his humanity was taken and replaced by a demon. Now he literally had to force Sebastian into staying with him so he wouldn't be alone, but Sebastian will only resent him for that reason.

I feel a little bad for Sebastian, but honestly I don't care much for them. I'm very happy for Alois, Luca, Hannah and Claude, though.<3

Honestly I think that the "Trancy family" had the better ending (especially Alois who finally can rest in peace with all the people he loves <3), while it was Sebastian the one who had the worst fate: eternal slavery. I don't pity him even a little bit, he totally deserved his fate being the asshole he is. For this reason, the ending was the only thing I loved about the second season, I was very happy at how things turned out for everyone xD

I'm actually glad for Trancy family because they get piece and happiness in the death while Ciel live for eternity and will see many painful experience in front of his eyes. But I have to agree, Sebastian has the worst ending XD
Moral of the story: Become eternal is **** XDD

@misakidomo: I have a feeling that he said that just to make him looks strong, but we never know his true feeling. He thinks that he can't stay with Lizzy or his servants in his current state..

I don't quite think that Sebastian has it that bad at all. Cus in my opinion, this struggle over Ciel's soul in part 2 is the place where Sebastian becomes to truly be in love with Ciel's development through his character(character like personality not like a cartoon character) like he admires how Ciel can remain so pure of heart and noble despite all the terrible things that he both experiences and has to do.
I thot it was a happy ending because he desired to return to Ciel regardless of the circumstances. Cus he knew what Hanna was saying as she was falling. But still pursued Ciel. He could simply have ignored the contract prior(since Ciel is now a demon it invalidates the previous agreement).

I mean, don't they get to Both feed on souls together now? :s (that's what I thot was the plan, now they're two demons that get to live in their realm forever, where ever it is they're going.)
I mean, I know Sebastian had been desiring Ciel's soul all this time, but at the same time I think there was a character development for Sebastian specifically in the moment where Ciel questions Sebastian's actions, wondering
"I was curious what you were going to do, once you knew I was no longer human" <---so they(Ciel and Sebastian) both knew Sebastian had an option/a Choice.
And he made the choice to stay with his master. Cus no longer being a human, that would invalidate the contract because the contracts between demons are only with other humans, or revolve around humans [the pact between Sebastian and Claude revolved around Ciel and Alois], because that is the logic of the bargain: soul for whatever the human wishes that determines the statutes of the contract. Ciel can try to manipulate language refuting chronology of events, but it holds no ground, because his attempt denies the chronology of when the order was made(as a human) and not. [cus the logic is: you are my butler until you can feast on my soul(a trade in itself), but once actions take place following and his soul becomes unattainable then there's no need to be the butler (cus the trade is invalidated cus Ciel cannot keep his part of the bargain)]

at least that's how I see it. It came down to a moral choice for Sebastian. and I believe that over time, Sebastian grew to love Ciel's character rather than his soul, like how a retainer is devoted to his Lord(samurai) out of respect and admiration.
    ^my opinion :3
