Kenny teaches how to properly say Levi's name. Rivaille is the katakana form, meaning, it's Engrish for those who can't pronounce 'Levi'. Ri-Ba-I-Ru, somehow to capable fans became Rivaille.
Levi's name is Hebrew, btw. The series is based in Europe. Mikasa is the supposed 'last Asian' and she's /half/.

^ actually it's Rivai not Ribairu... and Rivaille, in french pronounced same as Rivai... so, that's where it's begin.. and then the English Version by Kodansha and Isayama admit he named Levi, inspired from a film title Jesus Camp... (bad English, sorry) -

@DanzoYami37 Nah, your English is fine. Wherever it began, it didn't go well. But yeah, I did know that Isayama named him off of somethign religiously inspired.
I just don't know why the fans that can pronounce it chose not to. -
