  I think it's supposed to be from the character's home country of Xing in the manga - but since each region in the manga pulls heavily off of real-life cultures and countries here, there may indeed be some heavy Tibetan inspiration here. The artist did a lot of heavy research for her series too, so it'd bound to show through.
