  I feel very foolish for all the times I hated on evangelion or at least its main character Shinji. But I have only seen the first two rebuilds and havnt even given the original a try, but really the rebuilds are just the original but instead of amazing character development and story like the original, it just glances over most of the characters backstory and development and just focus on the action, but even though it takes a different route it still hasn't surpassed the original.
  i really take back anything bad i said on other images, the original series is just so great and there is so much to it that it makes other anime look like cartoon network shows.
  my point i guess is that its nice to see that the featured image for Evangelion is of the original series instead of the more watered down Rebuild series
