    A last touching conversation between Neji and Hinata would be appreciated, he died for her and they haven't even exchanged a single word or a glance... Personally I'd have liked more that Neji had died in Hinata's arms... ç___ç

    ^Precisely what I want as well. I do understand that Neji died for Naruto too, but wasn't it mainly for Hinata? I even want her to go berserk, at the loss of Neji.

    ^ hell yes. Actually, Hinata was the last person Neji looked at as he died, but I wanted her to hold him in her arms. >:(

    NejiHina was always real!

    Not my interpretation, but a beautiful one I've found about this picture:

    " Their body positions were quite symbolic.

    Hinata is facing towards Naruto who’s got his back towards her (one-sided Hinata --> Naruto / oblivious Naruto on Hinata’s feelings).

    Neji falling on Naruto’s shoulder but still facing Hinata (Neji trusting Naruto with Hinata's life)

    Hinata is looking at Neji, not Naruto (Hinata seeing Neji for who the first time, the man who loved her all along, being blinded by her love towards Naruto). "

    ^ Naruto's not oblivious anymore about Hinata's feelings for him, she confessed her love during the battle with Pein so now Naruto knows she's in love with him ^^; And about being a one sided love or not, we still don't know. Naruto's feelings at the moment are unknown...

    i do not want to be rude but i kinda hate Kishimoto-san for doing so... he started to kill all the good guys and i even quit the manga because of all the deaths... is there even an end to all the drama? do not misunderstand, i am not saying that the series is bad but i do not see where it leads to... Q.Q poor Neji...

    @CFA09: Its the battlefield. Even though its unimaginably sad, you cant expect characters to have emotional breakdowns in the heat of the battle. Hinata and Naruto knew why Neji sacrificed himself, it was an honorable death, the only thing to do atm is end this war and come back alive. If Neji sacrificed himself just to have more of his friends getting killed esp Hinata (if), wouldnt that be unfair.
    Although i like how Hinata is handling the situation, my respect for her just went mile high. C:

    @lady Rivel Keehl

    I think he's still oblivious. I mean, even if she has confessed, he must have thought she had referred that she loved him like a friend. I'm almost sure he's still oblivious. And I doubt he would do anything in the matter, even if he is aware of her crush. Naruto only cares about Hinata just as a simple friend.

    I wish she and Neji would have had something though...it's a pity.

    @rolfmao Honestly, I find this a little hard to believe ^^; If we were talking about Goku that didn't even know what a woman was until his 12 years old and even later what was the meaning of "marriage", "girlfriend" and "kiss", I could also accept this possibility, but Naruto is not so stupid, c'mon. He's a bit naive yes, but not completely idiot xD Who goes around saying to their friends "I love you"? ^^; Of course it was in a romantic sense and Naruto understood it very well, he just hadn't time to think about his feelings since he has more important things to do: Sasuke's rescue, the war, etc...
    But if it's really as you said, then I'd lose all my respect for Naruto, he'd become the number one idiot of the universe xDDD

    @ShinigamiRukia:
    Not that I completely put aside your point, since I do understand what you're saying, but what I ask of is a little bit of motivation and heat in Hinata, and Naruto too. I mean, the characters shouldn't just go on without having a slight emotional imbalance. It's a war, I get that, but if one loses someone they really cherish, isn't there some kind of sensation of anger that creeps up. It's not that I want Hinata to charge at Madara or Obito, just want her to get bold and fired up, so that she doesn't lose anyone else important to her.

    Being a NejiHina fan I'd liked to see Hinata losing her mind and charging at Madara or Obito but at the same time I think it's better for her to not lose control and do stupid things that may cost her the life, otherwise Neji's sacrifice would've been useless.

    ^Same, but considering the seriousness of a shonen manga, we can't let it happen. We can, however, let her charge at Madara and Obito in our fanonland. xD

    ^ Thats exactly why i do not want Hinata to have an emotional breakdown. She might just do something inappropriate and godheavens i dont want anything to happen to her. She is an intelligent girl, the best emotion she can express is determination. To protect and save everyöne in Konoha fighting alongside Naruto. :) i want to see her being epic that way

    I wish this had happened but no Kishi sensei didn't even give Neji a chance to speak with the girl he was protecting or even let them share one last look before he... As much I love Naruto curse him for being the one who got in the way of what could have been a NejiHina moment. 100th liker for this beautiful picture T.T

    Poor Neji, and Hinata didn't even acknowledge how much he loved her, she was just "Naruto's big hand". At least she could have had the decency not to have those stupid Naruto thoughts and pay attention to Neji at least once in her life since he sacrificed himself for her.

    Man, that's why I dislike NaruHina. Despite that Naruto encouraged Hinata, the couple is still shallow from all the other points of view.

    ^
    Too bad it only happened after his death. ;-;
    And I'm with everyone that thinks that he loved her all along.

    I was pretty disappointed when Kishi decided Naruto needs to be the last person to speak to Neji. It's like he completely disregarded Hinata when, in normal circumstances, if you die while protecting someone, heck! you'd like to tell him/her something before dying.

    And Hinata? She cried, yes, but I can't help feeling she should have reacted differently. Not charging at Obito and Madara, but at least a brief touch on the cheek or a 'thank you'- like a final acknowledge. Because certainly, I don't think she ever saw him doing that for her. She seemed to have so much respect for him, that she failed to see how much he actually cared for her.

    She could have been the one to close his eyes and say something like 'It could have been me.' -- referring not only to his death, but to the whole Branch House, Main House ordeal.

    Don't get me wrong. I like NaruHina because after all this time, it's only natural and fair she gets to have the happy ending she dreamt of, but Neji's death has been treated superficially in my opinion.

    Why are people so intent on NejiHina? Last I checked, he didn't really like her,**** - he beat the crap out of her and pretty much spat on everything that she was. Now, suddenly, he has a change of heart in Shippuden? Yeah. Okay. Whatever. xD

  • cree

    Jun 20, 2013

    ^ Did you even read Shippuden?

    He does everything he can to protect and help her. He almost never leaves her side during the war. He stands ONLY by her side.

    Hell, he even swears when she gets hurt and he couldn't protect her once.

    He friggin loved Hinata.

    I believe Neji loved Hinata from the very beginning. He only thought he hated her when they were children because he was angry and bitter and frustrated with the whole Main House/Branch House thing. Remember that flashback of when they first met as children? Neji clearly had a crush on her only to have his feelings twisted when he saw his father hurt by the branch member seal and then die.

    I'm disappointed that Naruto was the last person Neji spoke to. Naruto was very important to Neji too as he was the one to change Neji's life. But... Neji spent nearly his whole life loving Hinata, and after Naruto changed his views on life, he dedicated himself to protecting her. His sacrifice was ultimately for her but in the end they didn't even exchange any last words AND he ended up dying in Naruto's arms.

    Like all shouhen mangakas, Kishimoto handled Neji's death very bromantically...

    Well, looking at Hinata but not saying anything to her as he dies really says something. He was always looking at her no matter what, always watching over her and protecting her, never able to say anything because of their status and her own feelings. His death was like his life, watching over her and protecting her but never saying a thing: The Silent Guardian (whole episode dedicated to that relationship in The Heart's Eye).

    Damn NejiHina feels make me tear up.
