Lets see, we got that "massacre"(It's name escapes me) that first ****ed off everyone and caused the "shot heard around the world" (Or something like that. And i hope im not getting my wars mixed up.) which was the first shot fired of the war. The second from the bottom is definitly Washington crossing the Delaware. Wow does my education have some gaps in it.

^The Boston Massacre? That made a ****ed American population.

And the "shot heard 'round the world" was the battles of Lexington and Concord, which was fired by the Patriots.

    Washington crossing the Delaware,

And I think that's when Washington was made president? Not sure myself.

    ^_^

Wow. What a beautiful picture. Very striking. Sorry, I don't know much about American history but deducing from this, it's rather dramatic.

@Alara That last picture, I think, is when the British army surrendered at Yorktown(?). Also, on his foot, you can see the U.S.A.

lol. This is quite the nice piece appearance wise :)

    - Boston Massacre 1770, 6 years before the declaration of independence.Paul Revere's color printing of it falsely depicting the British soldiers as firing upon a non-belligerent crowd

    - next pic: the declaration

    - third pic: THIS IS OF THE CIVIL WAR :) Not the revolution. A little out of order here ;) As one can tell by the Confederate flag and the "Billy Yank" uniforms ^^ "Shot heard 'round the world" was coined by Emerson in his poem Concord Hymn and it referred to the opening of the revolution at Lexington and Concord. But it is also very commonly used in referring to the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand (beginning of World War I), which was REALLY heard all 'round the world.

    - Fourth: Washington Crossing the Delaware 1776. Painting by Leutze (a german).

    - Last Picture: Surrender of Lord Cornwallis. Painted by Trumbull, depicting the surrender of Cornwallis at the Siege of Yorktown, 1781 (there is also one in Civil War, taking place in 1862).

Woven throughout is the Declaration (possibly the Constitution, I'm too blind at the moment to tell xD)

(one must remember that the revolution was not enacted by all of America. The colonists were very divided in whether to stay with Britain, just reforming the relationship with Britain, or completely splitting with Britain. We also had crucial support from the French; it lasted from 1775 - 1783. And we had issues unifying even after the war, as shown by the struggles of the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution :) American Nationalism really took off in the Era of Good Feelings, as in Monroe's presidency. Though that was littered with controversies, etc. And nationalism reached it's super peak in WWII.)

haha, as if anyone is going to read this block of text xD I just like history ^^

I'm surprised no one has pointed out the twin towers underneith the Boston Massacre. I mean, that image looks more like a photo, and their where no sky scrapers back then, so, it has to be the 9-11 incedent.

We invented the internet, bbq and cajun styles of cooking (yes, bbq IS a substyle of cooking), doughnuts and grocery stores. We have the strongest military in the world. We've been around 229 years and haven't bowed once to another country. The last time our liberty was endangered was the War of 1812. CAN I GET A HOORAH?!

^ Don't forget, we're also the founders of full length animated movies and animated movies with sound. We also invented Air planes, Hershey Bars, God knows how many vaccines and surgery's as well as Coca Cola, we're the leading country in the world when it comes to the film and animation industries. (I love Ghibli and all but Disney has been here far longer than Ghibli) and we have the most popular animated character in the world, Mickey Mouse! We won the most medals at the London Olympics, and I never have heard of anyone going to any other country to fulfill The (insert countries name here) dream, we're one of the leading countries in the world for medical procedures, vaccines, surgery's and transplants. Most of the world's most well known icons and landmarks come from our country and on top of that we're the first country to put a man on the freakin' Moon! We were freakin' awesome from day one defeating an entire English military with just a few hundred people! Yeah we deserve a Hoorah! HOORAH!
