KleinerSkollexxx Sep 28, 2011It's a little too moe for my taste (why does Neville look like Japan?), but Molly's expression just came out perfect :D
@Pantera26
I can imagine him teasing Neville by questioning his sexual orientation, then groping Neville and calling him a homo for liking it. Then it all gets awkward when Draco himself gets a hard on. Or something. -
juliafeng666 Oct 28, 2011wowa...did anyone notice how complete BADASS and AWESOME bella looks in this pic? that's an awesome hairstyle and expression!

luchan Apr 21, 2012"if harry potter were an anime it would be more successful"
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with this statement. Although it's nice to see an anime-fied version of the HP characters I don't think an anime would work.
First of all the movie and books are extremely successful. Anime is such a niche market. Sure it might garner some attention from the Japanese fanbase and maybe some of the Western fanbase as well but it'll never even reach the level of attention the books an movies received.
Secondly, an anime retelling the story of HP would be a bit pointless. HP is very popular but it would be in a studio's/company's interest to use new stories/manga for their anime. I believe to acquire the rights for HP would take all of the gold in Gringrotts vaults.
Thirdly, I personally think an anime version would ruin the HP story. I have nothing against anime, (in fact I love it, which is why I'm on this site), but the "moe-fication" of the characters and using tropes common in the anime industry would take away from the deepness and magicalness of the HP world.
As others mentioned before the characters depicted in this picture doesn't really depict their true selves. I know the characters' appearances are subjective to each person and this artist's vision might not be exactly how the anime studio's decision pertaining to design but the films have already ingrained a very strict, and in my opinion, ideal look for the characters. I can never imagine Harry looking like anyone else than Dan Rad, and I would imagine it would be the same for many others. Why mess with what you already have?
I can appreciate fan works on HP but an anime would not make HP more successful than the books/films or make the franchise even more successful. -

xxxLumierexxx 40 weeks agoSo weird that the first comment on this said Harry Potter would've been more successful if it was an anime, with how globally well known and received the series was both now and at the time of their comment. There were midnight parties and countdowns worldwide when each book came out, and so many creators in the writing or film industry started off either as fanfiction writers or people inspired by the works of Harry Potter.
I know I sound a bit overreacting making this to a comment 11 years ago by someone who probably hasn't used this site in years but still. Very strange comment to make about the Harry Potter series, especially considering that the comment was made the same year Deadly Hallows Part 2 came out, which was EXTREMELY anticipated and was the highest-grossing film of 2011 and to this day one of the most highest-grossing films ever.
