One Punch-Man is a Japanese webcomic written by someone who goes by the name of “One” which was published on his personal website starting June 3, 2009 until the present. A remake of the webcomic was done in manga form featuring illustrations by Yusuke Murata and was published in Young Jump Web Comic by Shueisha starting June 14, 2012 until the present. An English release was published in Weekly Shonen Jump by Viz Media starting.

The setting of One Punch-Man is in the fictional Japanese metropolis of City Z. Odd creatures that appear and cause disasters threaten the city. A superhero, Saitama, easily deals with these creatures and other threatening villains. Despite this, Saitama has gotten bored of easily defeating his opponents and seeks stronger enemies.
Saitama goes on a quest and encounters new friends, foes and accepts a cyborg, Geno, as his disciple. He also attempts to gain fame by joining the Hero Association but still struggles to regardless of defeating difficult enemies of the Hero Association."
