  And the scary thing is that it DOES take longer for the EMTs to get there even without the "30 min. or it's free" (<- for this also causes accidents) and an ambulance ride is crazy spendy... Dude, it's just wrong!

  Doesn't it depend more on how far the distance is between your house and the fire department? I mean, if you live next to a fire station, and the restaurant you usually order pizza from is five miles away...

  When I lived in America for a few years, I ate Pizzzzza frequent. I lived about a mile from at least 16 pizza places in a shopping district.
  The nearest hospital was literaly two left corners down one block from my appartment.
  I never got seriously impaired, but I expect the ambulances would cruise nice and casual through the pizza cluster before coming to dig me out of the closet avalanche.

  Actually, no. In Canada, Zeuuuh, the ambulance and police actually DO make it to house before pizza. Not only do our taxes go to our health care, it actually pays for hard working medical people.
