She's an original character that someone came up with. I can't read Japanese so I don't know the specifics, but the official SAO site has a link to some kind of original character contest(?) thing that has a bunch of these.

Actually if you look closely, you can see there's a blade on the edge of that "shield" on her left there, so it's really just an unusually shaped katar. Not too sure about the one she's holding in her right though.
